If you are a Sanju Samson fan, this might not be good news for you. Sanju Samson suffered an injury in the first match of the series against Sri Lanka while fielding, and he’s out of the series against Sri Lanka.
The injury occured as a result of diving catch Sanju attempted in the fitst over of the Sri Lankan chase at Wankhede in Mumbai on Wednesday. Although it was a great effort but he couldn’t hold the ball after failing on the ground.
That catch was off Pathum Nissanka off the bowling of Captain Hardik Pandya, off his second delivery of the over, which was the first over in the Lankan innings.
However, he kept fielding in the match but after the match he experienced swelling and because of that he was asked to take medical advice.

Who is Jitesh Sharma?
Jitesh Sharma, the 29 year old wicketkeepet batter who represented Kings Punjab in IPL 2022. Jitesh played 12 matches, scoring 234 runs at a strike rate of 163.3 with his highest score of 44.
Jiesh who represends Vidarbha in domestic cirtuit scored 224 runs in ten matches at a strike rate of 175 in the 2022 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Looking at this from, it’s safe to say he is a suitable replacement for Sanju Samson.
But will team India go with two wicketkeepers in the side again? with Ishan Kishan keeping the wickets and opening the batting for the tem. In our optinion Team should focus on getting another allrounder or a finisher in the squad.
Arshdeep fit to play second T20I
Arshdeep who was unwell for first T20I is fit and ready to play, his selection will confuse the team management on whom to sit out. Shivam Mavi who debuted in place of Arshdeep Singh, performed very well with his 4 wicket spell.
